Bill Atkinson Ruger No. 1 .375 H&H
One of ten Ruger Number One's that Bill Atkinson made for Bill Ruger. The metalwork on this rifle is exeptional! Perfectly fitted quarter rib that features an express sight and is machined to accept Talley rings. The front sight mirrors the design of the quarter rib and is made to accept NECG sight inserts. The recessed safety is beautifully done and is very smooth to operate. The trigger breaks at a very clean 2 pounds.
The stock was crafted by an unknown maker out of a beautiful piece of walnut. While the metalwork is first class and one of the finest Number One's I've seen, the stock work is not of the same level. It's every bit as good as a factory stock with upgraded wood, but not what you would expect to see on this type of metal work.
The rifle appears to be in unfired condition.
