If you are gun collector or shooter of high-quality custom rifles, you know the name – Ralf Martini. He is a classically trained custom gun maker that is ranked in the top echelons in his craft. For years he built some of the finest custom rifles in North America from his gunshop in Canada but has recently relocated back to Germany and is working for Hartman and Weiss. He is known for meticulous detail in machining, action fitting and stock making.
Here are the details of this rifle in Ralf’s words:
“This very rare and hard to find 1935 Orbendorf Mauser action was detailed and trued up to create this custom rifle, utilizing most of the original parts including the bottom metal. The double square bridges were modified to accept Talley quick detachable 30mm scope rings and a three position safety was added.
Custom contoured 24″ long Heym barrel, with a short quarter rib and an express style rear sight.
Exhibition grade Turkish Walnut stock with a 14 3/8” LOP and a .8′ leather covered recoil pad. Classic wrap around checkering with 22 LPI.
Beautiful color case hardening on the complete action, grip cap, cross bolt and Talley rings. The barrel was rust blued in house.”
Comes with Swarovski Z6i 2.5-15x44 BT (ballistic turrets) with 4ai reticle scope.
It feeds and functions flawlessly and is extremely accurate.
There’s a few handling marks on the stock but it is in otherwise excellent condition.
It will come in a Pelican hard case to your FFL.
